Challenge
deteriorating security environment, poor access to finance, to certain skills and digital technologies, lack of infrastructure, etc.
As a result, certain growth sectors such as agriculture, ICT, engineering and environment are still underdeveloped.
Innovative solution
The partners Technoport and BBI have set up a program to support innovative and technological entrepreneurship in Burkina Faso through three components:
- Skills and technology exchanges between Luxembourg and Burkina Faso companies
- Support for the creation of technological and innovative businesses in Burkina Faso, in particular through training and support for entrepreneurs in the ICT, agriculture, engineering and environmental science sectors
- Strengthening Burkina Faso’s support structures (infrastructure, skills, and networks).

- Building the capacity of Burkina Faso’s entrepreneurial ecosystem, transferring skills, and strengthening partnerships
- Support for 106 innovative project leaders in Burkina Faso
- Creation of 143 jobs in Burkina Faso
